Getting more inventory!

Wow I have been super busy lately getting more and more inventory into my shop.  I have added lots of new times and that includes a few hats for the holidays.  I have included a super cute santa hat for this coming holiday that would be great for your little one to be photographed in or just to wear.

This is a great little hat for your child to wear.  This is a picture of my little one wearing this hat.  She loved it very much and loved being able to hold onto the very long tail of it.  It was great being able to take her picture in this.  After a while though she was getting mad a me because I kept changing her hats.  But that is okay I made it up to her with lots of kisses! The other hat I have for the holiday season is my eft hat.

new hammock

New items

So this week not only am I working on the two blankets that someone has ordered but I am going to start working on new items for my shop.  I figured with the holiday season right around the corner more and more people will be buying from me.  I am very excited for this time of year and can't wait to make many cute new hats for the season.  Winter is coming and people are going to be looking for those cute hats to put on their kids to make them the warmest and cutest that they can be. I am hoping my shop is where people will be able to find what they are looking for.  Some items I am starting to work on are elf hats, cat hats, new monkey hats and santa hats.   I am hoping these types of hats are a big hit and look forward to making many items for people.  I am also going to try to get involved with some type of craft fair here soon as well.  I have lots to get ready for and I am very excited for this holiday season.

Building a website

Wow, building your own business online is a lot of work and takes a lot of time.  I never realized how much work people put into making their own business.  I have been working to build my business and that is so much to do.  Finding link referral sites to get more traffic.  Making a facebook fanpage and even starting a blog.  It takes a lot to get traffic and really start getting business.  At this moment I am doing pretty good at getting people to my website. www.etsy.com/shop/deannascretaions I have been trying to update this blog at least once a week and been doing things with my fanpage and link referral websites to get more traffic.  I also have been working on getting better pictures of my products and getting new products up in my site.

This pictures is one of my new pictures that studioyphotography.com took for me.  I do love this pictures and this item.  It is a great headband for little ones and is only $4.00 on my site.  It is a great buy for any age and the headbands come in the size you want.  I have a few variations of this headband on my site all $4.00 each.  They really are one of my new favorite items and really do photograph well.  I love creating things for little ones to wear in their daily lives as well as items for photographers to use as photo props.

One,two,three GO!!!

Well I am halfway done with adding Canada to the places I can ship to! After that I will start working on everywhere else in the world! It is taking a little longer than I thought it would lol! I have also teamed up with a photographer from Colorado that is going to take pictures of my hats with babies! I am very excited about this.  I do believe my products will sell better when people can see what the hats look like on babies.  I am also going to work on making cacoons and hammocks for babies as well.  I am super super excited about all my new projects.  I am going to be busy busy this week.  I also have started building up my inventory to sell at a craft fair.  I have never done a craft fair but I am super positive about it and hope it goes well.  Well I have to head out to work.

Going Global!

Deanna's Creations is going to start shipping out of country this week! I have decided it is time to start shipping outside the country! I want to start reaching a wider customer base! It is going to take alittle while but I am going to figure it out all this week! I am very excited for it! I think it will be great for business! I am also going to try out etsy's new search ads.  I am not sure if it is going to work but we will see. I am going to be getting some new pictures for a few of my hats, so I am going to use those and hopefully people will be more directed towards my shop! I am really excited for all of these changes! Welcome

Welcome to Deanna's Creations blog!  Deanna's Creations is all about items for your little ones and just anything that interests me!  I have been crafting my whole life.  I grew up with my parents but was very close with my grandparents.  I would stay with them all the time and my grandma taught me many different things.  She was an amazing painter and was always doing many different kinds of crafts and teaching me about them all the time. I having been slowly branching out into many different areas and trying new things! I am always trying to learn new things and am always up for challenges.  My main focus at the moment is crochet items.  I love sitting at home and starting a new crochet project. I have really been focusing on making crochet items for the little ones in peoples lives because I just had a little one of my own. I am slowly learning to make my own patterns and love doing other peoples patterns.  My most popular items is my Monkey hat. 

It really is one of the most adorable things I have seen! I have only done it in gray, pink and white but the people at my work are challenging me to do it in the colors that they want.  I have to make one with red instead of pink and one that is baby blue instead of pink.  I am really excited for this challenge and can't wait to see how these other colors come out!
